Champion University – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are the Foundation Courses required to be a member of Champion Life Church?
A:  You are only required to take the Discovery Course to be a member of Champion Life church.

Q:  Are the Foundation Courses required to be in leadership at Champion Life University?
A:  Yes.  We believe these courses are vitally important to understand the vision of Champion Life Church and the Body of Christ Universal.

Q:  I am already a leader, do I need to step down until I complete the Foundation Courses?
A:  No.  You are grandfathered in, so to speak; however, it is important that you complete the Foundation Courses as soon as possible.

Q:  Is Champion University an accredited University?
A:  No.  Champion University is not an accredited university, and courses taken here will not earn you credit towards an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.

Q:  How many classes can I miss and still earn my certificate?
A:  Since the One or Two Day courses (Discovery, Encounters, and Builders) are all on either one or two days, you obviously need to attend these in order to earn credit for the course.  For the Weekly and Semi-weekly courses (Discipleship and Leaders), you can miss one class each; however, you will be required to ‘attend’ the class via audio or video and complete your workbook section (to be reviewed by instructor to ensure the audio/video was listened to or watched).  If you miss more than one class, you will need to take the course over again.

Q:  Which class is right for me?
A:  If you would like to be a leader at Champion life Church, then all of them are right for you!  However, if you would just like to take a few of the classes at your leisure, then consult the Course Catalog in your Student Packet for descriptions of the courses to see if any would interest you.

Q:  What are the costs involved?
A:  There is a $10 enrollment fee per term.  There may be a materials fee if you have not received your binder in the Discovery Course. Anyone who has taken the Discovery Course prior to January 1, 2010 has to purchase their binder.  There is a replacement fee of $20 for a replacement binder. There may be fees associated with some courses: guest teachers, childcare, books, etc.  These additional fees will be outlined in the Course Catalog in your Student Packet for each course.

Q:  Is Childcare provided?
A:  There is a fee for Childcare. If you are facing a genuine hardship email the CU Director for assistance. Fees vary per class; see your Course Catalog in your Student Packet for fee details.

Q:  How long are the courses?
A:  Terms and Course schedules and times vary.  Many of the courses are one or two day and others are for only one night per week for four weeks. Please consult your Course Catalog in your Student Packet for details.

Q:  What ages can attend?
A:  Anyone 16 years and older can attend Champion University.

Q:  What courses are offered?
A:  Please consult your Course Catalog in your Student Packet courses offered.

Q:  How do I enroll?
