Guest & Member Care Teams

Do you love people?  Do you want to be part of creating a lasting first time impression for our guests?  Then join one of the Guest and Member Care teams and you will have the opportunity to do just that!  Whether it is through a short one-on-one conversation, a behind-the-scenes position, shaking a hand or giving a smile is all you need!

Volunteer Opportunities:

Greeters:

If you know how to shake a hand and smile, then this team is for you!  Greeters help create a welcoming atmosphere for all people who come through our doors.  We want our new guests to be put at ease and relax as they find their way to our children’s classrooms and main auditorium.

Commitment:
Serve two Sundays a month.  You will be able to attend service.

Information Center:

This is where friendly, vibrant and helpful people are at their best!  Communicate basic information about church events and help people register for activities and classes.

Commitment:
Serve two Sundays a month.  You will be able to attend service. Training provided.

Check-In:

Check-In plays a vital role in welcoming every family and volunteer who comes to service.  Children are checked in for the service, providing parents with the comfort of knowing their child is in a safe, age-appropriate classroom where parents can be called upon in the adult service if needed.  Check-In provides essential data for more efficient administration.  A friendly smile and short, courteous conversation is all that is needed.

Commitment:
Serve two Sundays a month.  You will be able to attend service.  Training provided.

Medical/Emergency Response:

The Medical team provides personal and compassionate help to guests who need medical assistance.  Our team is dedicated to caring for the safety needs of children and adults attending any of our services or events.

Commitment:
Serve one or two Sundays a month.  Certification required and additional training provided.

Getting Started:

Are you the kind of person who never seems to meet a stranger?  We go above and beyond in welcoming our first-time guests.  This team goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure our guests feel at home and know exactly where the auditorium, children’s check-in and restrooms are located.  This team also assists Pastor during the altar call by helping those who come forward for salvation.  If you have 10 minutes or less at the beginning and end of a service to help change someone’s life, then this team is perfect for you.

Commitment:
Serve two Sundays a month.  You will be able to attend service.  Training provided.

Cleaning Team:

This is where the real fun begins!  This team of dedicated people is committed to keeping our church campus clean and looking sharp.  Our teams clean on various days of the week so if you have a small amount of time during the week, then come be a part of a team that makes our church shine!

Commitment:
Serve once a month for two hours.  Cleaning is done on Thursday evenings, Saturdays and other various times.  Training provided.

Ushers:

Seat people in a friendly, welcoming manner and assist with the offering and communion during services.  If you are a people person then this is a great team for you.

Commitment:
Serve two Sundays a month.  You will be able to attend one service and serve one service.

Set Up/Tear Down:

Before and after every service there is light set up and tear down of street signs, chairs, outdoor guest areas and occasional tables on the Café patio. This team also helps with special events.

Commitment:
Serve two Sundays a month prior to the 9:30am service or after the 11:30am service.  You will be able to attend service. Set up and tear down only takes 20 minutes weekly.

Hospitality:

Serve coffee and refreshments to guests at services, classes and events.  If you like to bake there are opportunities for that too!  The Hospitality Team is a vital part of serving our new guests and volunteers as well as serving our special guest speakers in the office.  Opportunities to serve at events are available also.

Commitment:
Serve and/or bake one or two Sundays a month.  You will be able to attend service.

Bookstore:

We provide all kinds of resources that will show people how to live a successful Christian life. Opportunities to serve at special event product tables, conferences and guest speaker’s book tables are available.

Commitment:
Serve one or two Sundays a month; 20 minutes before & 20 minutes after regular service times. You will be able to attend service.  Training provided.
